1 teaspoon dry onion powder
Salt and pepper to taste

Drain Veg-all and pour into crock pot or sauce pan, add un-drained roast beef, margarine, salt, pepper, stir carefully.  Break in half large pieces of meat.  Heat til 180 degrees on med heat.  Keep warm to let flavors blend. This dish is also good microwaved.

Serve with sweet cornbread or buttered crackers.

Grilled Cheese Sandwiches

Cheese slices
Bread
Margarine

Make cheese sandwiches with cheese and bread.  Melt margarine and generously 'paint' a cookie sheet with margarine using a pastry brush.  Put margarine only where you will put the sandwiches if you’re not making very many.  Put sandwiches on cookie sheet in margarine and brush the tops with margarine.  Bake the sandwiches in a pre-heated oven for 10 minutes at 400.  For extra buttery and crusty sandwiches turn over after 5 minutes and brush with margarine again.  This is the way we did it at school to get the crusty, buttery, grilled cheese sandwiches:)

Hamburger steak

1-2 lbs ground chuck
Salt and pepper

Make into hamburger patties. Press the edges tightly so they hold together. Make a hole in center of each patty with your little finger or a straw.  Spray a skillet with cooking spray.  Cook on med high heat about 3 minutes, turn cook 3 more minutes, turn one more time 3 more minutes.  Cook until 180 degrees or juice in the center is clear.

Make brown sauce to pour over when serving.
Serve with Cream potatoes and Brown Sauce or let the kids have bread and pretend it’s a hamburger.

Brown Sauce

4 Tablespoons margarine
4 tablespoons all-purpose flour
2 teaspoon beef-flavored bouillon granules or 2 bouillon cubes
2 cups water
¼ teaspoon pepper

Melt margarine in saucepan and add flour.  Cook one minute.  Add beef bouillon, water and pepper.  Cook and stir about 5 minutes.
