College Cooking - Better Than Fast Food


Dinner/lunch

Chicken Chipotle Wraps (5 minutes - Done!)
Chicken Poppy Seed, salad, canned fruit
Chicken Bowl with fruit  (Chicken fingers, instant potatoes, corn, gravy)
Chicken and Cheese Quesadillas, Spanish Rice (boxed kind), black beans
Corndogs (frozen) with baked beans (the beans aren't really baked - microwaved for 3 minutes)
Chicken Fingers/Nuggets, instant potatoes, canned veggie
Sweet and Sour Chicken (Chicken Fingers, fresh carrots, pineapple, rice, and easy sweet and sour sauce)
Chicken Sandwiches with lettuce (Walmart has frozen chicken patties in a sleeve, (10 patties for about $10) microwave 1 1/2 minutes!)
Hot dogs (with bun or without) with baked beans
Sub Sandwich, chips and fruit, lettuce/tomato (French bread from the bakery, ham/turkey/cheese)
Spaghetti with corn, salad, Garlic toast
Tacos, Burritos, Taco Salad
Sloppy Joes with chips, fries, or potato salad
Tater tot casserole with salad and steam in the bag vegetable
Chicken and Broccoli Casserole, corn, fruit
Chicken Fajitas
Chicken Noodle Soup with crackers
Hamburgers, tater tots, baked beans
Chicken Salad with grapes.  Super fast!
Chicken Tettrazini with salad and steam in the bag vegetables (chicken spaghetti)
Frozen pizza, with salad and fresh fruit
Chili with Grilled Cheese Sandwiches
Beef Stew Very fast!
Brunswick Stew
Penne and Mozzarella, Pear salad, green salad, garlic Texas toast
Haystacks 
Chicken and Rice
Lentil Taco Salad (taco salad without ground beef)
Mary's Taco Salad (taco salad with corn chips)
Stroganoff with rice, canned or frozen veggies
Potato Soup with bacon and Southern cornbread
BBQ Cobb Salad (chicken pieces cooked in skillet with BBQ sauce)  Assemble salad with boiled eggs, cheese, tomatoes, and use BBQ sauce for dressing, very filling)
Fish Patties or Fish Sticks, 5-Minute Baked Potato, green beans, and steam-in-bag broccoli
BBQ Sandwiches with fries, chips or potato salad (this takes a while to cook but it's easy)
Mac and Cheese (Kraft) with cooked ground beef, and a can of veggie
Baked Potato with toppings like butter, sour cream, diced ham, canned chili, or cooked broccoli
Sandwiches and chips with fresh or canned fruit

Breakfast
Cereal and milk
Bagels, cream cheese
Oatmeal
Grits
Scrabbled Eggs
Boiled eggs
Bacon
Biscuits and gravy
Sausage patties or links
Pancakes and waffles
French Toast
Toast
Juice from frozen concentrate  (1/4 cup concentrate + 3/4 cup water)
Smoothie

Pot and pans
Non-stick skillet
Pot to boil water
Pot with lid (for cooking rice) 
Microwave safe bowl
9 x 13 type pan (for casseroles)
cookie sheet (for tater tots and pizza)
paper towels or napkins for microwave
Electric griddle or waffle iron
Spatula
Whisk
Can opener
