1 cup water
1 tablespoon vegetable oil
Food coloring
1/2 cup salt
1 cup flour
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
Add water, oil and food coloring to a sauce pan. Without turning on the stove, stir in salt. Add flour and cream of tarter and stir until no more lumps. Turn heat on medium and continue to stir until the liquid has cooked and the dough gathers into a ball.
Allow to cool in a Ziploc bag or Saran wrap to keep it from drying out. Store in a bag in the refrigerator.
