Sister Farnsworth Mom's Chicken Crescent Rolls

3 oz. cream cheese                                           1 Tbsp. chopped onion
2 Tbsp. butter, melted                                       1 can crescent rolls
2 c. cooked, cubed chicken                               1/8 tsp. pepper
1/4 tsp. salt                                                        2 Tbsp. milk
1/4 c. milk in a bowl                                            3/4 c. seasoned bread crumbs in a bowl

Blend cream cheese and butter; add next 6 ingredients and mix well. Separate crescent rolls and put in large tablespoon of meat mixture near the base of roll. Roll up crescent style, then roll in milk, then in bread crumbs. Place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. For sauce, mix one can of cream of chicken soup with 1/2 can of milk; heat. Spoon over rolls when served.
